Registration information for our annual Sandusky County 4-H Camp on Kelleys Island has been posted online HERE.

Camp will be held June 22 - 26, 2018 on Kelleys Island. Youth stay in cabins with 8-11 other campers similar to their age and screened, trained teenage counselors. Counselors, adult volutneers, and paid staff work togehter to provide programs and activities, including: sessions campers can pre-select based on their interests, large group games, cabin activities, outdoor fun, team challenge programs, and more.

Our camp leadership team consists of two paid staff, eight adult volunteers and 25-30 teenage counselors. Paid staff include our 4-H Educator, Gwen Soule, with 15 years of camp leaderhsip experience, as well as our college-aged student summer assistant.   Teenage counselors all complete an application and selection process as well as at least 20-24 hours of training led by our 4-H Educator and experienced adult camp volunteers each year. Adult volutneers all complete Ohio BCI background checks, additional screening by OSU and training.   

Camp is open to youth who are:

  • At least 8 years old and in the thrid grade (as of Jan 1, 2018)
  • No older than 7th grade (2017-2018 school year)
  • No older than 13 on the first day of camp (June 22).
